Neil Simon’s classic comedy about the hazards of the sexual revolution brings laughs galore to accompany a delicious meal at Tucker’s of Northport. The year is 1969. Barney Cashman is having a middle age crisis and has decided that life needs to be something better than just “nice.” So after years of faithful marriage to his high school sweetheart, he’s going to have an affair. Or so he thinks. In three acts, he brings three different women to his mother’s unoccupied apartment (at least, unoccupied until 5:00), and has three experiences he will remember the rest of his life. Not, however, in the way he had planned, as Elaine, Bobbi, and Jeanette show him that no matter how hard you try, the best-laid plans sometimes go hilariously awry.
Last of the Red Hot Lovers is directed by Fred Szczepanski and features John Sanders as Barney Cashman, Kat VerSnyder as Elaine Navazio, Cindy Rutherford as Bobbi Michele, and Gloria Thomas as Jeanette Fisher.
